Santa Fe Springs Red Ribbon Parade

Our own Richard Brown was the Grand Marshall and he got to ride in the Ferrari.

Kiwanis Classic Car Show

Our club sponsored the Classic Car Show during Santa Fe Springs 50 Years celebration.  The turn out was huge.  We set up a big stage for bands and we had many booths for local businesses.   It was a great day of family fun.

House Party

We had our Spring 2009 party at Marilyn's beautiful home in Whittier.  Many home cooked dishes as well as plenty of drinks.

This is a chance for our members to socialize in a relaxed atmosphere as well as meeting some of our member's spouses.  We even had former members come back joined us to catch up on what they have been missing from the Kiwanis Club.

The rest of our club members got royal treatment from the Santa Fe Springs Fire Department and got to ride in the fire engines.

Kiwanis Classic Car Show

When you are a Kiwanian, you tend to be very popular.  Big time car model Aylin even stopped by and asked our membership director Chien about the possibility of joining the Kiwanis Club.

Fourth of July Fund Raiser

We teamed up with Phantom Fireworks and set up a fireworks vending booth in Santa Fe Springs over the Fourth of July Weekend in 2009.  With people from our club, family and friends from the community all pitching in to work long shifts, we were able to raise just a bit over $10,000.

The money raised has already helped a community organization that helps out the disabled, buy supplies for local elementary school, pay for needy families to buy school supplies and clothes, as well as helping out kids from low income families in Mexico to go to the beach for a day.

Shown in the photo is our V.P. Michael Aguilar being little shy about helping out the woman.
